Shari Moon, RN
Breast Care Coordinator
Shari has been in nursing for 30+ years primarily in the clinical setting. She started out in the ICU and Burn Unit at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. She then moved to the Phoenix area and worked in ER for a year. After that, Shari transitioned into the clinic.
Additionally, Shari has worked in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, orthopedics and mostly recently Gastroenterology. She started at Midland Clinic in 2012 and worked with the Mercy Weight Loss Clinic until it closed. After a part time stint in Endocrinology, Shari has been back at Midlands for 4 ½ years.
Outside of work, Shari is a mom of 4 boys, 1 daughter, and is a proud grandma to 3 little ones. She enjoys reading, practicing yoga, lying on the beach, and watching sports. Fun fact: she’s the same age as the Super Bowl! Shari is a vegetarian who grew up in northwest Iowa but spent 10 years living in Arizona. Although she’s been in nursing for over 30 years, she also went to beauty school for 3 months and sold real estate for 2 years! Currently, Shari volunteers at the Jail Ministry, the Warming Shelter, and the Soup Kitchen.
Shari is excited to join the Breast Care Team and be an advocate and educator for the women in Siouxland.
