Dr. Vollstedt began practicing in the Siouxland are in 1992 and has been performing bariatric surgery since that time. He joined Midlands Clinic in 2008. He is a current member of The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). Dr. Vollstedt states that, “he became interested in bariatric surgery to help people fulfill their goals to improve themselves. Bariatric surgery is intellectually and technically stimulating and challenging. It is satisfying when people are happy with their results”.
